From Defender of the Faith to Supreme Head of the Church
King Henry VIII is one of England's most memorable rulers. He is best known for having six wives, including two that were beheaded, but this isn’t the only reason Henry VIII is remembered. Henry VIII also made many political decisions for England during his reign, many of which changed the course of English history. One of Henry’s most controversial decisions was his choice to break with the Roman Catholic Church and create his own Church of England.
